Winning at Wake Forest takes more than talent. It requires assistant coaches that can patiently work with three-star and two-star recruits and develop them to a level to compete with the ACC’s four-star athletes.

Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson had such a defensive coordinator in Mike Elko the past three years with the Demon Deacons. They were also together the previous five years at Bowling Green. ...
