NC State ranks among ACC baseball elite

Wolfpack advanced to NCAA Tournament 11 of last 13 years

RALEIGH, N.C. – On a sunny, 64-degree afternoon in late February, North Carolina State played college baseball on its Raleigh campus in conditions befitting warmer ACC campuses at Miami and Florida State.

N.C. State may not be able to keep up with the number of sunny winter days at campuses further south, but Wolfpack head coach Elliott Avent has kept his program up the eastern seaboard in elite ACC company. N.C. State is one of seven ranked ACC schools ranked in the latest polls on Feb. 29 at No. 8 by and No. 18 by Baseball America. ...
